Safran Electrical & Power and Diota : towards new offers for aircraft maintenance
The recently signed cooperation agreement between Safran Electrical & Power and Diota will enable both companies to design and develop Augmented Reality solutions optimized for Safran EP products and services.
Safran Electrical & Power announces the signature of a technological and commercial cooperation agreement with Diota. This agreement concerns R&D work to design, develop and operate innovative solutions using augmented reality and optimized for Safran Electrical & Power products, tools and services.
Diota, the leading editor of augmented reality software solutions dedicated to the industry, offers solutions that enable manufacturers to closely associate digital data and operational ground in order to increase the performance and traceability of their operations and processes. Safran Corporate Ventures announced last fall a stake in its capital.
With this agreement, Diota is cooperating with the world leader in electrical wiring in aeronautics to develop products and services around the maintenance and validation of installation of electrical systems for aeronautics and space.
An application is presented on the Safran stand at the Paris Air Show. It is a fault finding tool, designed in collaboration with the start-up Win MS, which allows to see and locate, via a digital tablet, electrical faults through the walls of aircraft (which contain many cables). This is a revolution that will significantly reduce maintenance times.
